more than one billion people worldwide don't have access to clean water. women and girls are responsible to walk for hours to get fresh water and to carry it back. water-related diseases are killing thousands and thousands of people a day.
PlayPump is developed to change it - easy access to clean drinking water for everyone. the system is powered by children playing with the PlayPump merry-go-round, which draws the water from underground and filters it.
